Mirko earned his bachelors of Science degree in 1998, Magna Cum Laude, in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from Fresno State University.

He earned his Master's of Physical Therapy degree in 2001 from Chapman University, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2008 from Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts.

Mirko became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 2004 and a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2006. He has completed extensive continuing education, including a year-long manual therapy course.

Mirko has worked in orthopedics and sports medicine since becoming a therapist, and he has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of high school and college athletes in South Orange County, while specializing in spinal and post-surgical rehabilitation of athletes. Additionally, he has worked with athletes from several youth soccer clubs, Orange County Blue Star soccer, NFL Europe and served as a consultant to the national water polo teams of Yugoslavia (Serbia-Montenegro) during their visits to the U.S. He is currently the physical therapist for West Coast Futbol Club.

Melissa earned her bachelors of Science degree in 2001 with honors from the University of California Santa Barbara.  

She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2005 with honors from Simmons college in Boston, Massachusetts.

Her post-graduate Doctorate education included a concentration in Health Promotion and Wellness and she presented her research of a school based backpack health promotion program to APTA Massachusetts Chapter in 2003.

Melissa treats adults and children in outpatient orthopedic setting and has special interests in pre-natal/post-partum evaluations and treatments as well as breast cancer and post-mastectomy care.

The staff at Spine and Sport Physical Therapy is a professional team of experienced licensed physical therapists and athletic trainers. We are devoted to providing high quality physical therapy to every member of our community.

Paul started Spine and Sport Physical Therapy in 2003 to provide expert hands-on physical therapy for active individuals from retired golfers to professional surfers and everyone in between.

Paul has treated patients and trained athletes for over 19 years. His clients include athletes and professionals affiliated with the Anaheim Angels, Anaheim Ducks, San Diego Riptide, OMBAC Rugby and USA Rugby.

Paul earned his bachelors of Science degree in Nutritional & Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training with distinction from San Diego State University while completing a two year internship in Athletic Training. He was certified by the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA) in 1996 and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in 1997.

He earned his Master’s and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees in 2001 and 2002 with honors from the University of St. Augustine, Institute of Physical Therapy, in Florida.

Post-graduate Doctorate education and training awarded him a certification in Manual Therapy (M.T.C) from the University of St. Augustine. While in physical therapy practice, Paul has completed the training from the American Academy of Spinal Manipulation and was awarded a Certification in Spinal Manipulative Therapy.
